I currently work at Champion Elementary in Daytona Beach in an ESE Pre-K blended classroom, where I assist students with a variety of learning and behavioral needs. But I am in New York for the summer . I was recently nominated for Paraprofessional of the Year by the Volusia Council for Exceptional Children and currently serve on the Conference Committee for the Florida Council for Exceptional Children. I am also enrolled at Daytona State College pursuing my AA degree through Volusia County’s Pathways to Teacher Program as I continue working toward becoming a certified teacher. Hello! My name is Anastazja, but you can call me Azja. I’ve been on UrbanSitter for about 11 years now, since I was 18, but have been babysitting for what feels like my whole life! I’m the eldest of three children, and definitely had a hand in raising my brother and sister. My grandmother had 13 siblings, so I’ve had a lot of cousins, nieces, and nephews that I have helped out with over the years. I’ve done both one time sitting jobs as well as long term nanny positions in my time on UrbanSitter, ages ranging from 3 weeks old to 13 years old! I have a lot of tricks up my sleeve when it comes to crying newborns at naptime, or mischievous kiddos trying to evade the bedtime routine.
