Hi! I’m Gabby. I’m 28 - born and raised in NYC. I’ve had a huge passion for childcare since being a teen. Most recently I babysat for 2 gorgeous twins - 1 boy and 1 girl from their ages 5-7, until they moved away in 2024. I built a strong bond with them almost instantly that only got stronger over the 2 years. Since then, I've been doing occasional gigs here and there, but I hope to find more steady work. I’ve had several other jobs related to child care as well as pet care. I’m naturally a very nurturing person, so babysitting especially is something I gravitate towards. It’s also in my blood as I come from a line of teachers! My grandmother was a teacher in her day and my mother is an assistant teacher at an amazing nursery school! Everyday she comes home from work excited to show me new pictures of her babies at school - so sweet. Aside from childcare, I also have a background in art from my father’s side. As much as I love children, I'm currently finishing up a degree in Interior Design at Parsons (all asynchronous classes, so it would not interfere with my schedule). My favorite thing in the world is being able to combine my two passions – childcare and art! I love teaching kids art and introducing them to new medias, even getting technical and teaching perspective such as drawing 3D objects! During my last job with the twins, I introduced them to felting which was very fun. It was so rewarding to see their colorful creations! Overall I’m looking forward to going back to childcare. My name is Tori, and I have worked with children in many different capacities for 15 years. I started coaching gymnastics when I was in highschool and have never quit teaching or caring for children since then. I began as a gymnastics and dance teacher and then started babysitting regularly while dancing professionally. I then became a teacher at a tutoring center that assisted neurodivergent children with school activities and development, I worked my way up to lead teacher and worked closely with a mentor to expand my knowledge in childhood development and teaching critical reading skills. When I moved to New York I became a part time nanny and began teaching gymnastics and dance again, in private studios. I also taught in afterschool programming for dance and gymnastics and theater. While in New York I have been the director's assistant for a children's music company, I have taught, and I have most recently been a full-time nanny. I am compassionate, able to adjust to different setting quickly, and my experience enables me to work with many different children and families. I love to create a warm, creative, and safe environment for children to thrive in! I have experience with children from 2 months to 17 years of age.

I have 5 younger siblings and as the oldest, I’ve helped with taking care of them, including education and hygiene. I’m able to watch over them for hours at a time and I learned to cook too. I have also worked at a summer program once for art and was able to get more experience with older children (8-10 years old). I also have a cat that I take care of frequently as well as moments were I’ve cat sat for my aunt.
