Hi! I’m Ja’Lea, and if there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that caring for children is something I genuinely love. I’ve been a preschool teacher assistant for the past three years, and every day reminds me why I chose this field. Watching children learn new skills, celebrate little accomplishments, and grow into their own personalities is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. I truly can’t imagine doing anything else. In addition to working in a preschool, I also work as a behavioral therapist for children with autism. This role has given me valuable experience supporting children with a wide range of needs while strengthening my patience, communication, and ability to adapt to each child’s unique personality and learning style. Working with these incredible children has been one of the most meaningful parts of my career, and they truly hold a special place in my heart. I believe every child deserves to feel safe, heard, encouraged, and free to have fun. I’m very hands-on and love getting involved in whatever excites them—whether that’s dancing to Danny Go!, coloring, reading stories, building with blocks, playing imaginative games, or exploring fun, age-appropriate activities. I don’t believe in simply “watching” children; I enjoy interacting with them, helping them learn, and making sure they have a great time while they’re in my care. Over the years, I’ve gained experience caring for children with a variety of needs and daily routines. I’m comfortable with diaper changes, bathing or shower assistance, helping with brushing teeth, meal and snack times, and keeping children engaged throughout the day. My experience has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, clear communication, and creating a structured environment where children feel comfortable and confident. Parents can count on me to be dependable, attentive, and someone who treats every child with the same kindness, respect, and care that I would want for my own family. My goal is always to give parents peace of mind, knowing their child is not only safe, but genuinely cared for, having fun, and in the hands of someone who truly loves what they do.
I look forward to meeting your family and creating a positive, trusting relationship with both you and your little one!
