I have over 10 years of experience as a nanny and babysitter working with children ranging from newborn through elementary age. I also have a background in theater and love bringing that creativity and energy into my work with children. I view my role as a nanny as a teacher and believe children learn best through engagement, play, and exploration. I make it a priority to be fully present with the child rather than distracted by my phone. I enjoy taking children to museums, parks, libraries, and other activities that encourage curiosity and social development. I also have experience working in Early Childhood Education with a teaching style closely aligned with Montessori principles. I believe in positive redirection and creating an environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to explore independently. I am bilingual in English and Spanish and would be happy to incorporate Spanish language exposure if interested. Coming from a Latin culture, I enjoy exposing children to different cuisines while always respecting dietary restrictions and family preferences. Depending on the child’s age, I also like involving them in meal prep and hands-on learning experiences. In addition to childcare, I enjoy helping maintain a clean and organized home through tidying, bottle cleaning, and meal prep support. I am currently part of the NYU Teacher Residency program and am seeking part-time work until my program begins in August.

Hey everybody! Im Rose! Recently just moved back to New York after having lived in Chicago. I'm currently studying for my masters in social work at Hunter. I have had around 7 years of experience babysitting, and I also have a two year old niece who I've taken care of a lot.
