A little about me: I’m respectful, responsible, punctual, outgoing, and truly passionate about caring for children. I take my responsibilities seriously, always bring a positive attitude, and do my best to create a safe, happy, and comfortable environment for every child in my care. I’m also a mom to a sweet 1 year old, which has given me even more hands-on experience with routines, meals, naps, playtime, and all the little moments that come with caring for young children. For daytime positions, my son would usually come with me, so I always like to be upfront about that. I’m very comfortable caring for more than one child at a time and balancing different ages and routines. For evening or nighttime babysitting, my baby would not need to come with me, since he sleeps through the night. That gives me more flexibility for date nights, dinners, events, or occasional evening care. I love keeping kids engaged both indoors and outdoors through creative play, reading, crafts, walks, playground time, libraries, and age-appropriate activities. I enjoy getting to know each child’s personality and interests so I can make our time together fun, meaningful, and special. Hello! My name is Aoife (pronounced ee-fah). My day job is as a public defender, and I’m interested in occasional caregiving jobs. My paid experience working with children began at around age fourteen as a mother’s helper, but as the oldest of four children I’ve been helping with child care even a few years before that. I have 7 years of experience babysitting children ages 1 to 12 years and 3 years as a private tutor and a mentor to high school students. I’m responsible, fun, and passionate about theater and the arts.

Childcare for me once was a hobby that has blossomed into my life long purpose. I have always adored children and take pride in being a part of so many family, friends and associates’ villages.
