Zaimyra $20 per hour for 1 child

Haii! Im a college student who genuinely enjoys working with children. I have experience babysitting kids from 3months to 11 years old, tutoring after school. And I’m ALSO CPR certified. A day babysitting with me : I like to keep things fun while still following the family’s routine. We might start with a snack and some homework, then switch it up with arts and crafts, games, a movie, playing outside, or exploring something new( definitely excited about this). I’m big on letting kids have fun while still making sure they feel comfortable, heard, and safe. Before the parents come home, I’ll make sure everything is cleaned up and the kids are settled into whatever routine they normally have. I like to actively keep the kids busy and myself, so their interests are very important to me. Parents are updated every few hours and occasional check in when it’s my day off. Having open communication is my biggest priority. I’d describe myself as kind, outgoing, easy to talk to for the most part lol and someone who always tries to bring positive energy wherever I go. I’ve always believed the best jobs are the ones where people are genuinely happy to see you walk through the door. I want to be the sitter kids get excited about and the person parents can trust without worrying. As I’ll be moving away from my own family to start college, I know how important it is to have people around you who make you feel safe, supported, and cared for. I hope I can be that person for the families I experience New York with while building a foundation for connections. I’m currently available for after-school care, date nights, and completely available on the weekends!!! I can adjust as needed and do very early mornings but it’ll be tedious. Face time call or in person meet before official start day!!! Feel free to reach out and ask me questions and for references.

Holly $25 per hour for 1 child

SUMMER BREAK AVAILABILITY! Hi parents! I know how important it is to find a caregiver you can trust. I’ve been working as a nanny in NYC for the 2 year,s and babysitting since I was 12, caring for kids of all ages, from infants to pre-teens. I am currently working with a family of 4 boys, ages 6 years to 6 months. I am looking for other temporary jobs while they are out of town for the next couple of weeks. My responsibilities include taking and picking up kids from school, taking them to their various activities and extra curricular activities, cooking and meal time, and getting ready for bed, along with general care taking, playing, and supervision. I enjoy meeting kids where they are at, engaging in their interests and joys, and creating a space where they can feel safe and cared for. I am currently a graduate student studying social work at Fordham University where I’m learning how to support children in meaningful and developmentally appropriate ways. As apart of my program, I work 3x a week in an elementary school doing one-on-one counseling with children ages 6-10 with behavioral and developmental issues. I’m upbeat, patient, and love creating a fun, safe, and nurturing environment where kids can thrive. I’d love the opportunity to support your family! I’m also very comfortable with household pets and happy to help feed and care for them while babysitting. Whether it’s giving them extra attention, taking them outside, or making sure they’re well-fed, I’ll ensure your pets feel just as comfortable and cared for as the rest of the family!

Mariana $23 per hour for 1 child

Hi! I'm Mariana! I've been working as a nanny since I was 18 (now I’m 25), and caring for children is definitely my favorite job. I've worked with newborns, babies, toddlers, and older kids, including twins and families with multiple children. I also had the opportunity to care for three children on my own while their parents were traveling in Europe, which gave me even more confidence managing busy routines, keeping everyone on schedule, and making sure the kids felt safe, happy, and loved while their parents were away. I'm comfortable with everything that comes with caring for kids—feeding, diaper changes, naps, meal prep, bath time, bedtime routines, school pick-ups, and keeping little ones happy and on schedule. One of my favorite things about working with children is watching them grow up. Seeing a baby take their first steps, say their first words in Spanish, or learn something new never gets old to me. Those little moments are what make me love this job. I'm bilingual (English & Spanish), patient, and easy to work with. I also don't mind helping with children's laundry, tidying up after the kids, or preparing meals and snacks. My goal is always to make parents feel comfortable knowing their children are safe, happy, and well cared for. I'd love the opportunity to get to know your family!

$30 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in Little Ferry, NJ

Hi - My name is Sara, and I’m currently a second-year master’s candidate in the Department of Environmental Health Science as part of Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health. I enjoy babysitting and have grown up helping family and friends by caring for infants, toddlers, and kids since I was 16. My responsibilities have included changing diapers, warming bottles, making snacks, watching them while the parents are away, getting them ready for bed, walking them to their bus stops, storytelling, and even some arts and crafts! I worked with multiple clients as a self-employed private educator overseas for ~5 years. I taught a self-developed curriculum based on the experts’ approach to teaching English as a foreign language. I tutored English, Science, Mathematics, and History for students in international schools. (1st grade to 12th). As well as English reading and writing for students with learning difficulties such as Dyslexia. Additionally, I assisted in developing the curriculum for Happy Bees overseas before the grand opening and held a preschool and kindergarten teacher position. I volunteered at a nursing home throughout high school. I recently received a bachelor of science degree in community health, which has deepened my understanding of populations in every age group. As the years pass, I’ve been assisting my parents with more tasks and am very comfortable with senior care. I can do light cooking, help with organizing, or other responsibilities. (I also enjoy technology-free conversation zones and board games). I am a big fan of pets! I’ve had turtles, birds, and cats. I have five cats back home, one of which is the queen, who gave birth to three healthy kittens in my bed, refusing to do so anywhere else in the house. Of course, I was there for her every step of the way, soothing and feeding her calming treats. I am very familiar with their care and needs. While I’ve never had a dog, I’ve walked my friends’ and thoroughly enjoy their company. If needed, I am open to day/weekend-long babysitting, pet care, and housesitting.

Sara was lovely with our three-year old daughter!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
