Haii! Im a college student who genuinely enjoys working with children. I have experience babysitting kids from 3months to 11 years old, tutoring after school. And I’m ALSO CPR certified. A day babysitting with me : I like to keep things fun while still following the family’s routine. We might start with a snack and some homework, then switch it up with arts and crafts, games, a movie, playing outside, or exploring something new( definitely excited about this). I’m big on letting kids have fun while still making sure they feel comfortable, heard, and safe. Before the parents come home, I’ll make sure everything is cleaned up and the kids are settled into whatever routine they normally have. I like to actively keep the kids busy and myself, so their interests are very important to me. Parents are updated every few hours and occasional check in when it’s my day off. Having open communication is my biggest priority. I’d describe myself as kind, outgoing, easy to talk to for the most part lol and someone who always tries to bring positive energy wherever I go. I’ve always believed the best jobs are the ones where people are genuinely happy to see you walk through the door. I want to be the sitter kids get excited about and the person parents can trust without worrying. As I’ll be moving away from my own family to start college, I know how important it is to have people around you who make you feel safe, supported, and cared for. I’m currently available for after-school care, date nights, and completely available on the weekends!!! I can adjust as needed and do very early mornings but it’ll be tedious. I’ve been working as a nanny in NYC for the 2 year,s and babysitting since I was 12, caring for kids of all ages, from infants to pre-teens. Hi - My name is Sara, and I’m currently a second-year master’s candidate in the Department of Environmental Health Science as part of Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health. I enjoy babysitting and have grown up helping family and friends by caring for infants, toddlers, and kids since I was 16. My responsibilities have included changing diapers, warming bottles, making snacks, watching them while the parents are away, getting them ready for bed, walking them to their bus stops, storytelling, and even some arts and crafts! Of course, I was there for her every step of the way, soothing and feeding her calming treats. I am very familiar with their care and needs. While I’ve never had a dog, I’ve walked my friends’ and thoroughly enjoy their company. If needed, I am open to day/weekend-long babysitting, pet care, and housesitting.
