I’ve worked with kids since middle school, starting by babysitting my little sister and tutoring peers, which sparked my love for helping children learn and grow. By 8th grade, I was an assistant teacher at Hebrew school and babysat my Rabbi’s daughter. In high school, I became a YMCA lifeguard (CPR certified) and taught swim lessons at summer camp. Throughout college, I spent four years as a certified tutor at the Boys & Girls Club, helping kids from 1st through 12th grade with reading, writing, math, and study skills. I graduated from Tufts University, where I studied Psychology and Economics, and have an intermediate level of Spanish. I love working with kids—watching their imagination develop, fostering their curiosity, and helping them learn. I also grew up with seven dogs, so I’m very comfortable with pets and happy to help with them too.

My name is Emmy, and I live in Stuytown. I graduated from Amherst College two years ago and moved to the city. Since then, I've found myself missing spending time with children. I've been babysitting and nannying for most of my teenage and adult years. I have experience nannying for elementary schoolers and middle schoolers, as well as babysitting for children of all ages.
