I’ve been working as a nanny/babysitter for 2 years and working in a classroom setting with children for 3+ years. I’ve worked with children ages 4 months-9 years of age. I currently work at a Reggio Emilia philosophy Nursery school located in the UES, positioned as an assistant teacher for children ages ranging from 2 years old - 6 years old. I started working with kids when I interned at the NYPL as a "literacy leader" tutoring 1st & 2nd graders. I worked 1 on 1 with a little girl from the DR, who arrived not knowing any English, and it was so rewarding to bond with her, teach her the language, and witness her joy as she learned. Over the summer I interned at a nursery school and worked with 1-4 year olds! A little bit about me, I'm 23 years old and recently graduated from Lehman College in May 2026 with a degree in Psychology. I'd describe my personality as sweet, funny, and calm! I like working with children because their curiosity and joy are infectious! It's heartwarming to see the world through their pov. I always make sure that the child feels comfortable and supported, I am good at coming up with ideas and activities. I love to teach the children new things, do crafts, explore with them, and most of all create amazing bonds! I want to be able to provide parents with comfort and security of having someone trustworthy watching their little ones!
