Hello! My name is Sila, I am 29 years old. I completed a degree in Preschool Education in my country, and after graduating I came to the United States through the Au Pair program to care for children. My favorite age group is infants, babies and toddlers, and I have extensive experience with them. I was an Au Pair for a baby from 2 months to 15 months old and his 2-year-old sister for a year, but I was taking care of the newborn and the responsibility was on me all day-full time. Morning and night routines, preparing meals, giving him baths, taking him outside, transferring to solid foods, helping with motor skill, burping him, feeding on schedule and creating a calm environment for his growth -everything was my responsibility. We enjoyed going to the park, doing puzzles, visiting the library, making rock and leaf collections, reading picture books together, playing with sensory toys, and encouraging crawling and walking.
After my Au Pair year, I cared for an 18-month-old toddler for 1.5 years, until she started school. I gained experience with potty training, sleep training, preparing a variety of different meals, doing activities with her, and participating in various events. Also we enjoyed playing with princess toys and Barbies, going to the park, having playdates at the library, baking cookies, coloring, and playing with playdough.
Most recently, I cared for a baby from 5 months to 14 months old. My responsibilities included preparing bottles and healthy meals, introducing solid foods, maintaining feeding and nap schedules, diaper changes, baths, developmental play, outdoor walks, and supporting important milestones such as crawling, standing, and walking.
I also worked part-time or one time job for a lot of families, and in my home country I worked in both a kindergarten and a daycare.
I love cooking and can prepare different kinds of healthy meals for children. I have completed CPR and First Aid training( American Red Cross), and I have a valid driver's license. I can provide references from my Au Pair family and the most recent family I worked for. I am fully vaccinated (Flu, Tdap, and COVID vaccines). I am also happy to help with light housework and to support mothers. I don't smoke, and I love animals.
