Hi! My name is Dani and I am a nanny and visual artist in Brooklyn, NY with 8 years of experience working with families. I originally grew up in northeastern Massachusetts raised by my Ecuadorian father and Portuguese mother. Because of this, I am fluent in Spanish as a second language and can get by fairly well with Portuguese, though i'm practicing to improve that skill. My experience in childcare ranges from the newborn stage up to twelve years old with a majority of my time being with infants and toddlers. I really enjoy the outdoors, recreational activities and working on art projects like painting, mixed media collage and crochet all in which I blend into my work as a nanny. I grew up in a household where caring for children was always part of daily life, which taught me responsibility, patience, and attentiveness from an early age. Beyond family care, I spent two summers as a camp counselor at the Humane Society of Broward County Kids Club Summer Camp, where I helped lead activities, supervised groups of children, and also gained hands-on experience caring for pets. Whether helping with homework, keeping kids engaged with creative activities, or supporting families with pet care, I bring enthusiasm, reliability, and a nurturing approach to everything I do.

I have 13 years of experience as a caregiver for children and elders. I can be available in the evenings to help with meals, bath, bedtime and/or overnight care for babies. I am also open to evening and overnight elder care.

I am a prospective medical student with a masters in biomedical sciences and about 5 years of healthcare experience working with patients of all ages and demographics. I’ve done rotations at hospitals that focused on working with children with developmental disabilities and as a result have developed the skill set to handle children with care, encourage growth and provide a safe, healthy and productive space for them. I have my own little rescue kitty named Olive that made her place in our family but I love all kinds of animals and look forward to adopting a dog soon! Outside of my work, I am a very outdoorsy person, often swimming, biking, running and hiking on the weekends- my coolest hike has been to Machu Picchu, Peru. I’m able to work with children and pets of all energy levels and would love to indulge them in activities if required. In the home, I am more than willing to complete tasks related to caring for the children and pets.

I have adult kids that I raised as a single mom. I have over 15 years as a HHA working with seniors and children in the past and currently looking for a full or part- time position for the next 2 months, days, weekends, evening shift is fine. I am an honest dependable and reliable woman in my 50"s who is currently an empty nester. I am a very emphatic and compassionate person that loves and truly enjoy working with seniors and children.
