I am a dedicated child development and behavioral health professional with nearly 15 years of experience working with children and 7 years of specialized experience supporting children with special needs. My educational background includes an Associate Degree in Psychology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, providing me with a strong foundation in child development, behavior, learning, and mental health. In addition, I hold a certification in Behavioral Health, which has enhanced my ability to implement effective behavioral interventions and support strategies. Throughout my career, I have worked in early childhood education, behavioral health, and specialized support settings, helping children develop social, emotional, behavioral, and academic skills. I am passionate about creating positive, supportive, and inclusive environments where children can thrive and reach their full potential. My experience has allowed me to build strong relationships with children, families, and professionals while advocating for individualized care and meaningful developmental progress for every child I serve.

I started my journey in childcare/teaching at age 19, when I was hired by the JCYS Lakeview Family Center as an Assistant Preschool Teacher for their 3-4 year old classroom. What followed was an incredible year of learning (for me and the students) that ignited my passion for empowering others through either teaching or intentional care. Since that time, I have gone on to teach students of all ages in a variety of arenas. I serve as a teaching artist for New York Shakespeare Exchange, teaching elementary/middle/high school students about literacy and writing skills through Shakespeare. I have also spent time teaching in Italy, using performance as a tool for personal expression and learning about managing emotions to students aged 6-17. I just moved to Philadelphia to support my fiancee as she grows her business (we make hand-poured candles). Outside of work, I play soccer and run marathons, I host card game/board game nights, and I am an avid motorsports enthusiast (driver and spectator). I am offering child care, senior care (non-medical), pet care, and household services. Happy to run errands or help with to-do's, however I can assist. The last thing I will add is that I am a professional actor. I lead with my creativity and imagination, especially in the education/childcare space. I am currently a swimming and fitness instructor at Fitness Alive and have just completed my Bachelors of Science in Psychology with a focus on Social Psychology. I have passion in for service, community wellness, and building equitable and empowering relationships and systems. I am a responsible and fun- loving woman with over ten years of teaching experience. I’ve worked with all ages from infant - 8th graders in a variety of settings. My primary focus was in a classroom with children 3-6 years old, while running a movement program for 120 + students of that age. I led an after school program for over 100 1st-8th graders. I am an artist and can create unlimited fun projects for any child. I performed in a band, singing and dancing for children of all ages and I can play guitar. I am enthusiastic about childcare and look forward to working with any family!

My name is Ciara, and I am excited to express my interest in being your nanny and becoming apart of the family! I have been a nanny for over 3–4 years, caring for children from newborns to toddlers, and I genuinely love what I do.
