Most recently, I worked as a Teen Reading Ambassador with the New York Public Library, helping children with reading, writing, math homework, games, arts and crafts, and other activities. I have also worked with children with ADHD, dyslexia, autism, and different learning styles. One of my strongest qualities is my patience. I do not become easily frustrated, and I understand that children sometimes need extra time, a different explanation, or simply someone who will listen to them. I enjoy making kids feel comfortable, taking their ideas seriously, and keeping them safe while making sure they are having a good time. I also have younger siblings and have helped my hardworking mom at home when I was younger, so I understand how much of a difference it makes to have someone who can help with meals, homework, cleaning, and keeping things organized. I've taken care of children for many years and it's a fulfilling, and fun experience.
