Hi, my name is Sam! I love working with children of all ages but have the most experience with kids 3-12. I’m originally from the Pacific Northwest but moved to New York to explore job options in childcare, fashion, public relations, and the arts. I learned more about how much care, time, and attention children require after caring for a 2 and 5 year old for three years. In high school, I was a camp counselor for my school’s outdoor program and a swim instructor for children aged 3-8. I also consistently volunteered at kids basketball games, book fairs, field trips, and art classes. Post high school, I studied marketing for two years at Walla Walla Community College. I then completed the AmeriCorps NCCC program, where I traveled with a team to Texas and Colorado to assist communities in need with long term disaster recovery, mold remediation, environmental conservation, and more. One of the main reasons I love working with children is their innate love for exploration, creativity, and learning: just like myself!
