Hi, I’m Mike! I live in Williamsburg and have always been the go-to pet sitter for my friends whenever they’re out of town. Whether it’s daily walks, feeding time, or just keeping your pet company, I treat every animal like they’re my own. I love spending time outside (especially with a furry friend by my side), and when I’m not with pets or hanging out with friends, you’ll probably find me reading a good book or planning my next travel adventure. I’ve been working with childcare since very young, I have experience with kids at ages from newborn to 7yo, eventually caring for older kids too. Right now I have full time week job where I take care of a 15 months old boy. I have a Nurse degree back home (Brazil) and I was specializing to be a Pediatrician Nurse when I joined the Au Pair program. I'm now applying to be an a teacher for the little ones because I found that to be much more meaningful for where I see myself completely satisfied in my professional life. With this nurse background, I have immense knowledge about children's development and how to work with them in every stage of their lives, plus as a personal curiosity I was always very into Child education and parenting studies, and I've done tons of specializations to fill up my curiosity but also to put into a better-qualified position when working with kids. Also, I do have some beliefs related to child education that would be a better fit for me to work with a family with the same approach. I believe in non-violent communication, and positive psychology education, also I have some interest in the Montessori philosophy.

I have experience caring for children from early infancy through early adolescence. I worked as an Au Pair in the United States, where I was responsible for the children’s daily routine, including feeding, transportation, recreational activities, academic support, and general care. In addition, I volunteer at a children’s hospital, where I carry out playful and educational activities with children of different ages. My background in Pharmacy also provides me with knowledge in health and first aid, contributing to safe and responsible childcare.
