My name is Makenna! I have been working in early childhood education for four years, children ranging from ages of 6 weeks to 6 years. I am currently a preschool teacher, teaching ages 3-4 years old in a learning through play environment. I am very big on communication as I know there can’t be trust between a family and the caretaker they choose for their child. Having a daily routine is an amazing thing to have with children and I am able to follow that schedule with given instructions and keep the house rules for your child as not to disturb a child’s daily routine. One of my favorite activities to do with children is art! I am not afraid of a mess as messes can be cleaned up;paint, play dough or coloring. In my free time I like to be outside, spending time with family or coming into these cold fall days staying in for a movie and some soup. As I do currently work a full time job 6:30-3:30, I am only available for weekday evening part-time or one-time job offers and available most weekends. I am CPR/First aid certified Please reach out if you have any questions at all for me or interested in me caring for your child.

Hi there! I'm a former elementary school teacher with a degree in Education and years of experience supporting children's growth both in and out of the classroom. I've worked with kids of all ages - from infants discovering the world for the first time to confident upper-elementary students developing independence and emotional awareness. Teaching gave me a deep understanding of child development, learning styles, and the power of connection, and those same values guide the way I care for children today. As both an educator and a mom, I know how much trust it takes to invite someone into your child's world. I bring calm, consistency, and creativity to every environment I'm in. I love planning activities that are meaningful and engaging - story time, nature walks, hands-on crafts, science experiments, or just baking something fun together. My approach is centered on nurturing curiosity, confidence, and kindness in every child I meet. Families describe me as reliable, intuitive, and warm-hearted. I balance structure and play, making sure children feel safe, heard, and happy while parents can fully relax knowing their little ones are in capable hands. Whether it's school pick-ups, bedtime routines, or full creative play days, I treat every child with the same care and respect I give my own daughter. Caring for kids isn't just something I do - it's truly what I love.

Fantastic help! Will hire again :)

Casey $25 per hour for 1 child

Hi! I’m Casey — a highly responsible, energetic, and experienced caregiver with many years of hands-on work in childcare, senior care, and household support. I worked as a nanny throughout my college years, served as a CNA in a nursing home, and previously worked as a lifeguard — so safety and attentiveness are second nature to me. I’m comfortable caring for children of all ages, supporting seniors with daily needs, and managing multiple household responsibilities with care and professionalism. I also speak Spanish and am a safe, vigilant driver. Friends’ children affectionately know me as “Auntie Casey,” which captures both my warmth and reliability. I love to cook, am happy to help with cleaning and organization, and genuinely enjoy creating a calm, fun, and structured environment. I’m currently seeking temporary work for the next 4 weeks before I move overseas to get married. I’m flexible with scheduling and eager to support families during this season. Looking forward to connecting!

If you are looking for a nanny who can pivot from rocking a newborn to sleep, to building epic blanket forts, helping a teenagers study for their driver's test—all while having my job—we are going to be a perfect match! I am an active, vibrant Nanny who genuinely loves what she does. Childcare isn’t just a job for me; it’s an honor to be trusted. I bring a warm, animated, and fun-loving spirit into the home, making sure your kids feel completely loved, heard, and entertained. At the same time, I am deeply responsible and act as a supportive teammate to busy parents, making your day-to-day life easier and a lot more joyful. **The Tiny Humans (Newborns to 3 Years): I bring tons of patience and gentle energy to the baby stage. I’m an expert at soothing, baby-led weaning, establishing great nap routines, and doing goofy voices during tummy time to get those first big belly laughs. The Explorers (4 to 12 Years): This is where my vibrant side really shines! I love organizing messy arts and crafts, hosting living room dance-offs, creating outdoor scavenger hunts, and turning grocery shopping into a fun game. I also make sure homework gets done, schedules stay on track, and everyone gets to practice safely. **The Teen Crew (13 to 18 Years): I act as a cool, but trustworthy mentor, who is loving but can hold boundaries when needed. I’m great at listening without judging, helping them navigate high school stress, teaching them how to cook basic meals, working on life skills for their adulthood that they may not know they need but do, executive functioning skills, time management, and financial responsibility, and supporting them as they grow into independent young adults. Doing meal preparation for children, children's laundry, and keeping play areas, bedrooms, and gear sanitized and organized. **Safety & Emergency: I'm Highly vigilant and proactive regarding child safety, both inside the home and out in the community. I love having fun but safety comes first. I believe in open lines of communication providing detailed daily updates and teamwork. When I’m not busy, You can usually find me kayaking and paddleboarding (I own two of each, let's go!), exploring local trails, I have a huge appreciation for nature, great art projects, and upbeat music. I’m also a bit of a self-proclaimed bird nerd—crows are my absolute favorite animal because they are so smart. Board games and books also win! Also Hugely active in Special Olympics and challengers baseball league.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
