I grew up in Redmond Washington then moved to Vancouver Washington 4 years ago. I am currently working at Lakeshore Child Center. I decided to move back to Seattle and attend Seattle Pacific University, majoring in International Business. Now I’m transferring to Washington State University in Vancouver to finish up my degree and continue me real estate licensing. My sister and brother both had kids which expanded my love for childcare and helping them both out. I did childcare for my neighbors all throughout 2020 and worked customer service at a gym after for 3 years. I also was a Food runner/Hostess for a restaurant, and then worked at a fine dining restaurant serving and hosting as well! This summer I did an internship for a real estate agency called The Kelly Group Real Estate, which expanded my love for real estate. As I have gotten older my love for kids and having my own someday has been growing, I have taught kids at church and helped out with childcare as well. I specifically loved the aspect of teaching and watching them grow in personality and intellect!

Hi! I'm Halo, a senior at Western Washington University, home in Vancouver for the summer. My time as a summer camp counselor has taught me a lot about kids of various ages, and how to manage all sorts of situations. What I love about working with kids is getting to see how they understand the world! It has always been really important to me to understand multiple perspectives, and I think the viewpoint children have is super important. I am also very interested in keeping kids entertained without screens! I love reading, board games, and playing outside, especially if we can work some learning opportunities into that play. Hi- My names Mai. I came back from teaching in Tokyo 4 years ago now. I've been working with kids from around 14 which is when I started babysitting and teaching abacus. I've been teaching abacus both in person and online for the past 10+ years but it's fun to watch kids outside an educational environment. I'm fluent in Japanese and English and am always down for outdoor adventures like swimming, biking, berry picking, or just going to the park. But I can always enjoy a good book or movie. I work 8-5 as a PM during the weekday but I’m free outside of those hours if you have a concert or date night. The wonderful thing about loving your job is it’s easy to show up with a smile and a positive attitude. I really like working in the care sector and especially enjoy watching children grow, learn and become individuals. I live alone so I have flexibility with my schedule. I do have a cat if you are allergic. I am hoping to focus on childcare for all ages. In the past 14yrs I’ve cared for, and spent time with, children between the ages of 4 and 17, between 1[removed] I had experience with infants and toddlers. My niece and nephews are my greatest joy. I can provide. 2) I’m a very safe driver with a reliable car. I haven’t had a car accident or traffic ticket since 1995. I’m more than happy to drive to do errands, pick up groceries, do school pick ups & drop offs and trips to the soccer field. 3) I’m a VERY creative person! I have a ton of arts and crafts supplies that I can bring for everything from watercolors to polymer clay sculpture. I’m also good with stories, silly songs and funny dances. 4) I am happy to help with a little homework (familiar with Montessori teaching practices) playing games, reading nighttime stories and TALKING with children to develop vocabulary and communication. I should mention I’m open to being a support person for child birthday parties or group outings. I’d be thrilled to do elder care and am very respectful, soft spoken when appropriate, and would be just as happy playing cribbage as reading whatever is of interest to my client. I honesty enjoy looking at family photo albums and listening to THEIR stories. I volunteered for 11 years at a care facility painting the ladies nails and reading to male and female clients. Have experience working with clients who have dementia. And finally I can do cat and small dog sitting duties. I have had cats living with me for decades, and few dogs too. I’m very pet friendly.
