I've been teaching abacus both in person and online for the past 10+ years but it's fun to watch kids outside an educational environment. I'm fluent in Japanese and English and am always down for outdoor adventures like swimming, biking, berry picking, or just going to the park. But I can always enjoy a good book or movie. I work 8-5 as a PM during the weekday but I’m free outside of those hours if you have a concert or date night. Hi! I'm Halo, a senior at Western Washington University, home in Vancouver for the summer. My time as a summer camp counselor has taught me a lot about kids of various ages, and how to manage all sorts of situations. What I love about working with kids is getting to see how they understand the world! It has always been really important to me to understand multiple perspectives, and I think the viewpoint children have is super important. I am also very interested in keeping kids entertained without screens! I love reading, board games, and playing outside, especially if we can work some learning opportunities into that play.
