My name is Makenna! I have been working in early childhood education for four years, children ranging from ages of 6 weeks to 6 years. I am currently a preschool teacher, teaching ages 3-4 years old in a learning through play environment. I am very big on communication as I know there can’t be trust between a family and the caretaker they choose for their child. Having a daily routine is an amazing thing to have with children and I am able to follow that schedule with given instructions and keep the house rules for your child as not to disturb a child’s daily routine. One of my favorite activities to do with children is art! I am not afraid of a mess as messes can be cleaned up;paint, play dough or coloring. In my free time I like to be outside, spending time with family or coming into these cold fall days staying in for a movie and some soup. As I do currently work a full time job 6:30-3:30, I am only available for weekday evening part-time or one-time job offers and available most weekends. I grew up in a family of 5 and I’m the middle child, we all have children and I’m surrounded by children. I love to cook, I’m a very good cook and grocery shopper as well! I love children. I have 2 grandchildren and they are the light of my light. I helped raise them until they moved to Oklahoma when they were 9 and 11. I cooked, cleaned, took them to church, school, helped with homework, all the extra things their Mom needed help with. My mother lived with me the last 5 years of her life. She was sick the last 2. She was on home hospice with me the last 6 months of her life and I was her caregiver. When I was in my early 20’s I was a CNA in a couple of nursing homes, so I knew what to do. I took the last year of work off to be with her. I loved taking care of her. I’m a very loving Christian woman and I would love to take care of your family. I love dogs too and I’m happy to pet sit as well! I have decided to not go back to high pressure sales and be of service to a nice family that needs a nice older woman that has some energy and experience.

Hi! I'm a full-time nanny with 3 years of experience caring for children of all ages. I also graduated from cosmetology school and love getting creative with hairstyles and nails ( as well as having to fix a few haircuts). I'm an animal lover who enjoys hiking, reading, arts and crafts, and keeping spaces clean and organized. I spend as much time outside as I can and make it a priority to go for a walk every day.
