Hi! My name's Rachel, I am 23, and I am a graduate from Clackamas Community College. I have some experience watching over the young children of friends and family. Through spending time with them, I realized the joy I felt in helping them discover new things! I enjoy playing games with them, doing crafts, and going outside. I have taken classes on safe sleep, water safety, foundations for learning, recognizing and reporting abuse, and health and safety. I am up to date on vaccines including Covid and flu. Though I lack professional experience, I am passionate about working with kids and am hoping to gain experience. I am also a current dog owner who has grown up with both dogs and cats. I have been pet sitting for 3 years now and love spending time with pets!

Hey, I’m Teara! I am outgoing and fun. I like to do arts and crafts, story time, creative/messy games outside(depending on their preferences for weather, of course!) and am always open to trying/learning new thing to do with kids! I am a great communicator and willing give updates throughout the day. I’ve always enjoyed being around kids, along with animals. I love to watch them learn, develop new skills, question things or explain in ways we as adults don’t often think of and watching them find new interests. I have worked with kids for almost 10 years ranging from infants(2mo) -to preteens (12-13). I also have experience and am confident in my abilities when working with multiple young children at once. (1:4 ratio from ages 3 months- 2 years old) I started out with home babysitting for my family then eventually turned into family nannying for other families near me. I have continued to nanny part time for a few families over the last 10 years. Eventually, I found a daycare part time while in HS. & Also worked at a Child Development Center as the Wobbler Assistant & Lead Toddler Teacher for over six years. I have two kiddos of my own- 5 and 3! I’ve recently taken a step back from working in a childcare setting (I definitely still try to stay updated and informed on trainings and child developmental info being learned/taught to teachers and caregivers) and just been taking on part time, last minute, date night gigs! However, I am open to something consistent if it seems like a great fit for everyone. My love and passion for kids has always been there. I continue to do trainings, learn about development and stay up to date on all the child info :) I am also COVID cautious; fully vaccinated, willing to wear a mask, and limiting my exposures. •Meal prep •Homework help •School drop off/pick up •Background check completed •TB test cleared •CPR first aid, blood borne pathogens, & HIV/AIDS certified •Food handlers card •Recognizing/reporting abuse/neglect •Clean driving record, Safe car •Health & Safety •RIE •PBIS I am looking forward to meeting new families through this site & helping out as much as possible.

$25 per hour for 1 child

Hi, I’m a 42 year old female Portland native born and raised in Sellwood. I’m married I have my degree in massage and healing arts. My husband and I have a 18 year old daughter and have two amazing cats. I currently live in multnomah village, and absolutely love living in Portland. I have over 17 years experience working with children ranging from newborn to 12 years of age. I’ve always loved working with kids since I was a teenager my self. I’m a very active person. I especially enjoy being outside, hiking gardening, cooking and reading, art and museums. I’m very passionate about the outdoors and love creating space for the little ones that I watch to explore and go on new adventures. I am CPR trained as well as first aid and a certified preschool teachers assistant. I’ve nannied for many families throughout the years and have plenty of references to provide. I like to think I’m a creative thinker, great problem, solver multitasker and able to teach while having fun. I also have experience with working with the elderly and have been trained in that as well. I’m very much a people person and have an outgoing personality. The reason I enjoy working with children so much is that I believe it brings me as much joy as it does them. I feel it to be a very gratifying job. I think you really have to like what you’re doing to be good at something. Looking forward to meeting your families and their little ones.

ā€œTrisha is great - she's bonded with our too-cool-for-school 4th grader and talks pop music with our little Swiftie. We're all very happy for date nights when Trisha is coming!ā€

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
