Amaya Philadelphia
$15 per hour for 1 child

Hi! My name is Amaya and I am a recent college graduate with a Bachelor's in Social Work and Policy Studies. I have a deep passion for child safety and welfare, and creating safe, nurturing environments where kids can truly thrive. My childcare experience spans several years, from helping care for children in my neighborhood growing up with my mother, to working at the YMCA with toddlers, to working at a daycare with children as young as 8 months through kindergarten age. I understand child development deeply, not just from hands-on experience but from my academic training in social work. I am warm, creative, and imaginative. I believe in getting kids engaged in play, art, and hands-on activities rather than screens. I bring energy and intentionality to every interaction. I respond quickly and communicate clearly with parents such as updates, photos, and check-ins are always part of my care. Beyond childcare, I am a previous cat owner and have pet sat dogs for friends, so I am comfortable with animals. I am also open to light household tasks as needed. I am reliable, professional, and easy to communicate with. I work well independently and show up prepared and on time.

Hi! I’m a Peruvian girl living in Philadelphia. I’ve been living here for 5 years. I’m a former Au pair (2[removed]), nanny for 4 years and mom of a sweet 3 yo toddler girl who is in preschool. I speak Spanish and english, I have experience with babies as young as 6 weeks old and as old as 7 years old. I enjoy doing crafts with kids, art, going to the museums, playgrounds and have little play dates when weather is permitted. I’m a big advocate for learning from outdoors and take real life lessons! Which means minimal to zero screen time. Being a nanny is so rewarding that I learn so much about tiny humans. I also love cats and dogs and any other animals in general. I do pet sitting on the side and I can provide help as a household assistant and can clean, cook and run errands.

Hi My name is Nadiyah and I'm currently a school teacher and mommy of 1. I've been working with kids since I was 15 and love it. I started by watching my younger brother and sisters, and then began babysitting for kids in our neighborhood. Over the last few years, I've worked primarily with infants and toddlers, but I love kids of all ages. If it's nice out, I like to take the kids outside, but if not, I whip out some fun board games:) In my free time, I love learning new coding, shopping , working out, and trying new foods.

Professional, punctual, and very nice. she was great with my daughter. Glad she’s coming back again thank you.

As a mom myself, I have been a professional caregiver for the past 6 yrs. Children just amaze me and since I will not have anymore of my own, I look forward to help caring for others. I'm not here to mother your children however I bring the experience and understanding of the expectation a parent has leaving their children in someones else's care. I love all ages and specialize in infant care 0-3yrs. I understand the difficulty for parents to leave their children in the care of others. My goal is to make parents feel comfortable and reassured that their child will be loved and looked after as if they were my own. I'm young at heart and always amazed at the imagination of children. Whether it be home play, park, or exploring, I'm game. I don't mind doing light housework and running errands if necessary. Anything to help make the parents life a little easier during such an important time in their life. I am also available to travel with the family and care for the child if needed. I offer housesitting if the opportunity arises. Understanding that some families like to have their home looked after, plants taken care of and even dogs walked if necessary.

We’ve had a wonderful experience with Danelle. She has been caring for our 9-month-old while we work from home, and we couldn’t be happier. She’s punctual, reliable, and brings such a calm, positive energy into our home. Most importantly, our baby loves her! It’s such a relief to have someone we can fully trust, and we highly recommend Danelle to any family looking for a caring and dependable sitter!

Lila 2 reviews
Philadelphia
$24 per hour for 1 child

Hi, I am Lila! I offer babysitting, nannying, tutoring, and pet care. I had my first babysitting gig in 6th grade, which is how I found out I love all the components working with kids has to offer! I have worked with infants (2 months) to pre-teens(12 years), and am equipped for the responsibilities each age asks of me. Many of the families I have worked with have had multiple kids (and pets). I am comfortable and experienced with watching multiple infants at once; and with watching infants and older children, that require different types of attention. I grew up with three dogs and a cat, so taking care of animals in addition is welcomed. I love organizing all the details of the day into to-do lists to ensure every task is completed. The kids' happiness and well-being are the main priorities. Taking the kids outside (after lots of sunscreen is applied!), finding creative/enriching ways to spend our time together, and figuring out the individual needs of each child in my care is my approach to having fun and fostering development (of course, if other activities are outlined for me, I will make sure to do those). I grew up with a love for cooking, so making snacks and meals is both fun and easy. I am a sophomore in college, working towards two bachelor's degrees. I have highly developed writing, reading and comprehension, and social studies skills -- which positions me to help tutor kids, assist with homework, and work on personal reading/writing goals. I graduated high school with honors, so I have proficient math and science abilities. I am not bilingual, but I took Spanish all of high school, and continue to study the language in college, so I am available to help with the learning of lower-level Spanish. I have a driver's license and a car, so I can reliably get to work on time -- and take kids on adventures, to swim lessons, etc. If you have any questions, please reach out and ask, I'd love to answer them.

I wholeheartedly recommend Lila to any family in need of a wonderful nanny or babsitter! Lila was a part-time nanny for my two young daughters, and her dedication and caring nature quickly made her a part of our family. Lila's attentiveness and patience are unparalleled. She has a remarkable ability to understand and respond to the needs of young children, creating a safe and nurturing environment for them. My daughters always felt heard and cared for, and her patience helped them through challenging moments with ease. One of the most memorable contributions Lila made was teaching my 3-year-old daughter how to ride a bike.. facilitated by Lila's gentle encouragement and persistent support. :-) Lila has excellent organizational skills and is reliable. She managed daily routines seamlessly, from meal times to nap schedules, ensuring that everything ran smoothly. Her proactive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond were truly appreciated, as she often took the initiative to plan fun and educational activities.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
