Availability: Mon 8:30am - 3:30pm (strict pick-up time) Tues-Fri 8:30am - 8:30pm Sat — ask about specific day Sun — (no availability) I have over 10 years of childcare experience, CPR certified, and in love with childcare work:) I have a Bachelor's in Nutritional Sciences and Contemplative Studies as well as a 200-hour Yoga Teacher certification. I have taken Montessori courses and plan on continuing my early childhood education. I have worked with children with different physical and emotional needs, including neurodivergence as well as physical therapy needs. I speak Spanish (out of practice but still know preschool level), I am an artist, and I love to read, cook, dance, and listen to music from all over the world. I love to teach kids about different people and ways of living holistically and joyfully. We do minimal screen time (none for under 2yrs) and a lot of outdoor time. I was able to change diapers before I was even 10 so it comes naturally to take care and look after small kids. I’m very attentive and kind. I enjoy creative and fun activities! Hello! A little bit about me: I moved to the Philadelphia area six years ago from Seattle, and spent the three years working in a trauma-informed, strengths-based GED and job training program for 14-21-year-olds. After that, I worked as a nanny for about 4 months before transitioning to a full time role as a community organizer. Before that, while studying at Gonzaga University, I worked for three summers as an overnight YMCA camp counselor, followed by 2 summers as the assistant director for a YMCA day camp. Throughout my time in high school and college, I babysat and tutored regularly, ranging in age from 2 months to 13 years. After leaving my most recent job (on good terms), I'm looking to go back to my roots in childcare. I love being with kids outdoors or doing crafts, talking with them about their days, reading, and helping with homework. I believe deeply in the importance of safe, loving, and supportive environments for babies and kids.
