Childcare is one of my biggest passions — along with bouldering, mountaineering, reading, baking, and live music. I’ve been working in childcare for nearly six years now, for all ages from infants to teenagers. My experience includes childcare for parties and events and working as a sleepaway camp counselor as the sole caretaker of seven girls (ages 9-10 and 13-14). My experience also includes working with special needs kids, tutoring and academic help, lots of time with infants and toddlers, and a specialty in outdoor education! There is nothing I love more than building a pillow fort or baking cookies, and I've never met a child I didn't get along with. I understand the importance of communication and emotional regulation and love to "talk it out." It's important to me that your child feels seen and listened to. As an artist myself, I love drawing, singing, and making up stories. There is too much to do and create for us to ever be bored! I have no problem washing dishes, folding laundry, making lunch or dinner, and helping with other chores. I am quite flexible; in terms of schedule and also what is requested of me. I know that some weeks are harder than others. It is important to note that I travel using public transport; hopefully this isn't a huge drawback for you!
