My favorite way to teach, connect, and support children is through reading, story telling, art, play, and nature discovery. I have a BFA in interior design from UNT and love all art activities with children. Avoiding screens when children are present is a priority for me. I truly believe children learn best when they feel safe, engaged, are having fun and their sitter is fully present. Being patient, responsible, and a good listener are important as well. I enjoy taking care of all ages but recently was hired as a full time sitter for a 9 month old and oh how precious that experience was. Conscious and consistent language is also very important when speaking with children. I seek to be in alignment with your core values and communication requests. I am happy to encourage healthy food choices as well. I do not use my phone unless it is to communicate with you. I am very healthy with a daily ashtanga yoga and meditation practice, swim regularly at Barton Springs, and bike the trails. I enjoy cooking and gardening having had an organic farm in Louisiana when I was raising my children and cooked professionally in New Orleans. I am a massage therapist and heart centered mind set coach as well. Being a vegetarian, non drinker and non smoker, I am happy to say that I have no limitations or medical issues. I am also available for light vegetarian cooking, pet care and housesitting. I have been pet sitting for Trusted House Sitter for the last 5 years and enjoy taking care of both cats and dogs.
