Silvia $18 per hour for 1 child

Hello everyone! My name is Silvia, and I grew up in the hills of Cordoba, Argentina surrounded by little animals and nature and doing many sports. Close to our home, good friends of the family had 5 children and I babysat for them sometimes after school and on weekends since I was 10 until I turned 12. I actually saw myself like Maria, from The Sound of Music movie. Then, I came to the States and since I came from a family of musicians, I grew up singing, playing some guitar, dancing and writing my own poetries, short plays and songs. I was blessed with 2 children, and they grew up in sports and different arts as well. I always had kids around me and besides, for 13 years while being fully involved with my son's various soccer teams (including the select and travelling ones), I was always either driving, watching, or entertaining kids of different ages. I had a huge camping van, and we went on short trips to lakes, beaches, camping sites, etc., Sometimes other parents would join me, and I made every one of them sing, play different games and teach them about animals and nature. I also enjoy all kinds of books (I have a huge collection), and I love to read to children or make my own stories for them. All my life, I had been a secretary or a receptionist back in New Jersey/ New York, but at this stage of my life I find myself with more time, and I would rather spend it with animals and with children which I enjoy and love so much. Thank you for reading my profile and I appreciate your consideration.

$23 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 4 families in Cedar Park, TX

Hi, my name is Daphne but littles call me DeeDee. I am offering babysitting, nannying, pet care and household services. Up-to-Date TDAP, Covid & Flu vaccines & First Aid and Pediatric CPR certificate. I received my undergrad at The University of Texas-Austin in December 1989. I retired in 2007 from Austin’s largest federal credit union after 21 years to raise my youngest daughter. Once she graduated high school, I decided to pursue a career working with children. I love taking care of children. I have 3 adult children who are successful. I’m still waiting for grand babies… 😊 but, in the meantime, when I watch families’ children, I treat them as if they are my own. I most recently was a nanny for 2 years to 2 boys aged newborn and 2-1/2. I performed general household work including laundry for the whole family. The family had a Golden Retriever, an Australian Shepherd and a cat that I provided care to. Prior to that position, I was a nanny to 5 children: 2 boys aged 4 & 8 and 3 girls aged 3 and two were both 6 (blended family) plus taking care of the family’s pitbull, In addition to watching the kids, I performed general housekeeping and would drop off and pickup children at elementary school as well as drive them to their extracurricular activities of baseball and gymnastics. The following are my objectives: Passionate Childcare Provider: Deep commitment to working with children, prioritizing respect and engagement at their level. Supportive Discipline Approach: Focuses on loving, attentive discipline that ensures safety and addresses challenges with care. Educational Support: Assists in developing verbal skills, basic American Sign Language, and foundational concepts (colors, shapes, numbers, alphabet). Experienced Parent: Mother of three successful adults, bringing maturity and energy to the role. Reliable Transportation: Lives in Leander with a dependable SUV for transportation needs. Cheerful and Dependable: Known for a positive attitude and reliability in childcare settings. Flexible with Parenting Styles: Respects and adapts to each parent's unique childcare approach and guidelines. House Management Skills: Experience as a House Manager/Nanny, capable of light household tasks (vacuuming, cleaning, laundry) during children's naptime, as well as basic pet care.

Daphne was very responsive to a last minute urgent coverage request and was so attentive to my 15-month old, and even engaged with my 3-year old, which wasn’t required. She helped with lunch and entertained my 15-month old while I worked from home and even cleaned up after he went down for a nap before she left. Super helpful and especially kind; will be requesting her to come back as often as we can have her to help with our boys. Updated review (April 2025): Daphne has now helped me with both my boys; including dinner and bedtime routines. While the boys slept, she did our laundry, dishes, and cleaned our kitchen. She kept busy and was always looking for ways to help; she even wiped down my kitchen cabinets during a nap time. Regarding the 1 star review, I don’t agree with the personal attacks on Daphne. She has been our part-time nanny for the last few months and we never have felt that way about her. I also think that if you employ someone full-time as a nanny then you should expect to pay that person while you are on vacation or family trips out of respect, because that person is holding that time for your family and unable to take on additional work. It’s just like any other full-time job, so only seems fair and the right thing to do. If you don’t treat people with respect and the way you would want to be treated, then I wouldn’t blame them for not wanting to return to work for someone who doesn’t hold same values.

Eyvette $20 per hour for 1 child

Hello! My name is Eyvette, and I recently relocated from Chicago to Austin to embrace a new chapter in my life. As an empty nester, I’m looking for a part-time sitter or caregiver position that allows me to continue doing what I love most—caring for others. I hold a master’s degree in psychology and have dedicated more than 20 years to the behavioral health field. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults in a variety of settings, providing compassionate care and support to individuals with behavioral health challenges, developmental disabilities, and those on the autism spectrum. My professional background has strengthened my patience, empathy, communication skills, and ability to remain calm and supportive in a wide range of situations. I’m currently pursuing a nursing degree to expand my knowledge and continue my lifelong commitment to helping others through quality, compassionate care. Family has always been at the center of my life. As the youngest of eight siblings, I’ve had the joy of helping care for many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews over the years. This has given me hands-on experience caring for children from infancy through adolescence while creating safe, nurturing, and engaging environments. One of the most meaningful experiences in my life was caring for my grandmother during her battle with multiple health issues and Alzheimer’s disease. Being her caregiver taught me the importance of patience, dignity, compassion, and providing comfort during life’s most challenging moments. It reinforced my passion for caring for seniors and supporting families who need someone they can trust. My experience spans the entire lifespan—from infants to the geriatric population. Whether I’m caring for children, providing companionship to seniors, or supporting individuals with developmental, behavioral, or cognitive challenges, I strive to meet each person where they are with kindness, respect, and understanding. I am dependable, compassionate, trustworthy, and genuinely passionate about helping others live safely and comfortably. I would be honored to care for your loved one while I continue my nursing education, and I look forward to becoming a reliable, caring presence for your family.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
