As a mother of two amazing daughters ages 27 and 22, I have been caring for children and infants in my personal life as well as babysitting children and infants for 38 years. I am a licensed cosmetologist of 16 years, and I would love to include complimentary haircuts and basic grooming for my clients as a little extra service. One of the things that really sets me apart from others is that I go above and beyond for my clients whenever possible. I founded and operated a farm sanctuary in Washington state for over a decade, and I have experience with just about every animal you can think of from cows, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, rabbits, dogs and cats. I can clean up a barn, braid horses' hair and administer meds, and keep records of feeding schedules. I can transport animals to vet appts and handle just about any emergency situation with calming energy and knowledge of proper safety procedures to keep your animal and the humans in my care safe. I am just as comfortable on the farm as I am sitting at the dinner table helping multiple children with homework and projects. I am an artist and I absolutely love doing crafts with my clients. It does not matter if they are 1 or 100, I will find some fun and enriching crafts for them to present to you when you return. I also do crafts with the animals when they are up for it. I have cared for many elderly clients as a hair stylist which involved me going to do house calls and visits in the hospitals. I am available to take elderly clients to Mass on Sundays with me at St Brigid if they would like. I am Catholic however I will never bring up religion, politics or push my beliefs on any client. I am extremely respectful of other p religious and cultural beliefs. If my client requests to go to the Mosque, Synagogue, Temple or whichever place of worship they prefer, I will be more than happy to take them and sit quietly and respectfully for as long as they need. I want my clients to feel safe in my presence always and know they can approach me for help with anything no matter how silly they may feel asking. . I treat my clients with the kindness, compassion, patience and understanding, I would expect for my own loved ones and as I would want to be cared for if our roles were reversed.
