I have over 5 years of childcare experience and without it I wouldn’t have made it through undergrad. Entertaining kids with silly theatre games or French classes has been a joy in my life and in many ways your children become an extension of my family. I am the eldest of two brothers with a 7-year gap between the eldest and an 18-year gap between the youngest. It is safe to say I am a second mother in my family and caring for my family has served as my training. When I got older I learned I wanted to be a social worker as I am now trying to get my social work degree from Texas State University through online courses. I have experience in working with children who are on the spectrum (4+ years), working at a daycare, and working at church through Sunday school to teach children about God.
