Hello! I am Angie, I’m 26 years old and I’m from Colombia. I’m a smart, creative, responsable, proactive and skillful person. I really like this job due to I can share the best of myself through my skills for childcare. I know children deserve always the best attention and love. I was an Au pair for 2 years, I worked for an American family and during that time I took care of 2 kids ( 3 years old and a newborn) I have my swimming certificate and my Au pair certificate. In addition I have been gaining experience in child care for about 6 years. I had to take of my nephews, my cousins and some children of my neighbors. I picked them at school and the playful activities, I advise them with their homework. I accompany them while their parents work. I worked in a kinder garden with children between 3 to years. I helped the teachers with children taking care of them doing manual and sports activities. These experience allowed me to develop my creativity and my abilities with crafts, maths and reading comprehension. I really like to work with children, teaching them, accompany them in their development, and always I learn from each one. The experience with kids has led me to understand what is a big responsibility but I really will do it with love and comprehension that the children need. It is important to know that the activities to be carried out are according to the age of the children and the environment where we are. The first thing is to know and inquire more about the personality of the child, what he likes and his abilities, which can be taught through a didactic activity, and look for various alternatives so as not fall into monotony. for example in babies between 0 and 1 years old it is important to stimulate their senses such as touch, vision, hearing, smell by doing motor and cognitive exercises, some activities to do with them would be exercising with their legs and arms. For the children who are in school children between 3 and 4 years old, I would like to be their support with their school activities do experiments encourage them to learn new things. And children between 5 and 7 years old I would like play with them playing an instrument, maybe cook and prepare snacks. Also I took care of two pets during my au pair program and sometimes I cleaned my host family’s house and they paid me extra money.

I am currently a full time nanny looking for extra work, and have been with my current family for 2 years now. I have worked will children of all ages for over 10 years. That experience comes from babysitting, teaching, leading a pre-k learning pod, tutoring, and nannying. Love to have fun and be in nature with the kiddos, as well as do a fun craft! I can take care of your little ones, help with light housekeeping, grocery shopping, crafts, swimming supervision, remote learning, errands, after-school classes, and laundry. I have my own vehicle. Ive taken care of children and pets for as long as I can remember. My parents were always working growing up, therefore, I had to care for my baby brother since the age of 5. I basically raised him. I’m 25 and he’s 20 now by the way. I’ve also baby sat my niece and nephew and a few neighbors children growing up. As far as pet experience, I’m a vet tech with ample animal experience/knowledge. Cleaning and household upkeep is a major part of being a vet tech as well. But even if I hadn’t became a vet tech, I’d still have the knowledge/experience because I grew up in a Hispanic household where cleaning is mandatory at a very young age.
