Melanie Cedar Park
$20 per hour for 1 child

I am a stay-at-home mom to three children, ages eight, seven and two years old. Our family loves checking out the local pools, having glow/light parties at home, and snuggling up to read. I love music, movies, crafting, trying new recipes and dancing for fun! I have been married for almost 24 years - my husband and I are high school sweethearts. ❤️ We have lived in Cedar Park for 11 years, and been in our current home for almost nine of those years. Previously we hailed from St Louis, Missouri. We also have an adorable 18 year old Norwegian Forest cat that has owned us since she was four months old. I have a longtime background in childcare, personally as well as for work. Babysitting has been a part of my life since I was 14, and because of it - knew I was destined for motherhood. I am also the seventh out of eight children - my mother was a great example and teacher, and most definitely a saint! I cared for my niece from when she was six weeks to four years old. (She is a thriving college student now!) I also babysat for an eight month old girl in my home when my oldest two were two years old and three months. I taught Bible lessons, and assisted with singing, snack and playtime for the nursery and primary age children in my church for two years. I was a school photographer (early preschool through high school age) for almost two years. I know how engaging, attentive - and sometimes persuasive - you have to be to keep a child’s attention and good spirits for any amount of time! That said, I am open to working with any age! I babysat through Sittercity last year (another app like Urban Sitter), but made the switch to Urban Sitter since it seems more widely-known. I still sit for a family I met through Sittercity on occasion - three boys - ages two, seven and 13. 💙 I am CPR and First Aid certified for all ages! I currently work twice a week as a Mother’s helper for Modern Mother’s Helper, where I do anything around the home, except for childcare. (Dishes, laundry, organizing, cleaning/tidying, helping to purge items - whatever help is needed.) I absolutely love that I can ease the sometimes tiresome burden of keeping up with chores around the home. ❤️ I can provide references for my present job, as well as for babysitting! Please reach out, and let’s find out how I can help you! ❤️

Ella Austin
$18 per hour for 1 child

Hi! My name is Ella, and I am going into my sophomore year of college. I have lived in Austin my whole life, and I am interested in finding a consistent babysitting/nannying job here! I grew up in a big family and have taken care of my younger cousins from a young age. I love babysitting and have been helping family friends' families with childcare since middle school. In addition to babysitting and helping my family out, I was also a PAL in high school. A program where you mentor elementary and middle school students and spend time with them during recess time. My responsibilities have included helping with homework, doing crafts, cooking, tidying up, and also watching family pets (even snakes). I can clean up, make meals, and do creative, fun, engaging activities. I would be interested in running errands too! I am not allergic to any animals. I love cats, dogs, bunnies, and hamsters (I am a big animal person)! I have had pets and been around animals my whole life. Please reach out if you need help! - Ella

Hello! I’m a mother of three and grandmother of two with over 35 years of experience caring for children. I studied early education and early childhood psychology at Inca Garcilaso De La Vega University in Lima, Peru. I’ve worked with many families over the years and especially enjoy caring for infants and toddlers. Parents often describe me as patient, calm, and nurturing, and I take pride in creating a safe and loving environment for children, as if part of my own family. I’m currently looking for occasional babysitting opportunities and would be happy to help your family when you need reliable care. I keep my availability up to date, however I am flexible with time and dates.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
