Hi, my name is Brittany! I am a recent Howard University graduate and am currently working in finance. I am offering childcare, pet care, non-medical senior care, and housing services. I love children and have been babysitting since I was 8 years old. My responsibilities consisted of assisting with homework, meal preparations, changing diapers, feeding new borns, and bedtime routines. Among these, I also incorporated educational activities, arts and crafts, and outdoor games. In addition to babysitting the children of family members and family friends, I also volunteered at Rita Bright and Family Youth Center in Washington, D.C. from my freshman year to graduation. I was apart of a mentorship program where we would volunteer at Rita Bright and mentor children after school, assist them with their homework, take part in extracurricular activities/sports, while also providing them the opportunity to vent/release any built up tension they may have. In high school, I worked at the YMCA in San Diego as a volleyball coach. As a Volleyball Coach at the YMCA, I am responsible for teaching fundamental volleyball skills, including serving, passing, setting, and teamwork, to athletes of varying ages and skill levels. I plan and lead engaging practices, promote sportsmanship and positive attitudes, and ensure a safe, inclusive environment for all participants. Additionally, I support player development by providing constructive feedback, organizing drills, and preparing teams for games and recreational competition. I am comfortable with senior care and am willing to help prepare meals, picking up prescriptions, provide transportation, or even just provide some friendly care. I have been assisting with my grandmother for as long as I can remember and would love to help out in any way I can. In addition to loving children, I always love animals. I have been a pet owner to my baby Dakota for five years. I enjoy taking her for walks, playing at the park, or even just joining her in the backyard to sun bathe. And at the end of it all, she’s my cuddle baby. I would love to provide the same love to your fur baby when you’re away.

I have over 5 years of childcare experience and without it I wouldn’t have made it through undergrad. Entertaining kids with silly theatre games or French classes has been a joy in my life and in many ways your children become an extension of my family. I am the eldest of two brothers with a 7-year gap between the eldest and an 18-year gap between the youngest. It is safe to say I am a second mother in my family and caring for my family has served as my training. I hope to do more than just watch your child but to add to their language skills and teach them fun confidence boosting theatre games as well. I am also a licensed Registered Behavioral Therapist with over 6 months experience teaching autistic kids adaptive skills.
