Now that I'm out of grad school I'm delighting in a more flexible schedule that allows me to take on both more artistic projects and more care-oriented roles of many kinds, including childcare, tutoring, and companionship. I have experience teaching people of all ages and have worked especially with young children and teenagers. I'm also a frequent petsitter and have cleaned professionally in a variety of settings. In addition to childcare, I cared for my grandfather for five years before he went on hospice and continued caring for him for another year afterward, which strengthened my sense of responsibility, compassion, and ability to provide consistent, attentive care. I also volunteer caring for children and infants whose families are experiencing homelessness, which has further developed my adaptability and ability to help children feel safe during stressful or uncertain times. I have an extensive background in animal rescue and care, and I have four animals of my own, which reflects my nurturing nature and strong sense of responsibility. I love getting kids involved in positive community activities, like helping serve meals to people in need and participating in fundraising efforts that support rescued horses.
