Hello! I'm Violeta, currently a graduate from James Madison University. I have 5+ years of experience working with children. Starting with babysitting for family friends, I've expanded to helping families in the neighborhood. I have have experience working with children of all ages. I love engaging kids with hands-on activities and getting them outside on nice days. I have been a long term nanny for 3 boys for a year now and have repeat families that I have worked with through different apps. I have been a nanny since I was 15 years old. I have watched all ages of children from infants to preteens. I have worked with children with special needs as well. I am also accustomed to working with more than three children. I have had jobs as a summer nanny, date night babysitter, and overnight weekend sitter. I am also a swim coach and teach swim lessons, so I have worked with children in many different settings. I also have been a certified lifeguard for the past seven years and I am accustomed to teaching children to swim and saving their lives in the water. I do have a cancellation fee of 50 percent 24 hours before the scheduled date. The day of the event it will be a 100 percent fee. Besides raising three children of my own, I have also taught swimming lessons for 20 summers, substitute taught, homeschooled, cared for twins, managed diabetes, am CPR/AED/First Aid certified, Newborn Care Specialist cert, Birth and Postpartum Doula certs, held live-in and live-out positions in the MD, VA, DC area, and have excellent references. I enjoy taking children on fun outings to the zoo, library, parks, museums, live music, puppet shows, feed the ducks, etc. I am also very active and play or have played most sports. In addition to having fun with the children, I am very educational minded and I teach them at all stages of development--sitting, walking, talking, ABC's, numbers, colors, shapes, reading, manners, respect, thankfulness, kindness, sharing, etc. Kids love me and I love them!
