Virginia Beach
$15 per hour for 1 child

Hello. I am a 24-year-old psychology student at Regent University and mother of my two kiddos (an infant and a toddler). Children have always been my passion, and I have aspirations of being a children’s therapist. I started doing child care at an early age. At age 13 I volunteered at a homeless shelter working with the babies and other children in the day care from 0-8 years old. I have also done a lot of paid and unpaid babysitting for family and friends. I would babysit 2-10 children at a time including 3 sets of twins an infant and 3 other children 7,8 and 9. I enjoy facilitating and engaging in fun activities and open-ended play time with children, teaching them new things, and watching them learn. My past sitting experience included duties such as meal prep cleaning and lots of other things. I love sitting and always go above and beyond to put a smile on their faces. I am usually only available to sit at my house due to my children but I have plenty of fun play equipment and activities at my house. I do drive and have a large van that can accommodate up to 5 children. I would love to take the kids out to the park, library, botanical gardens, petting zoo, children’s museum and other fun outings (which will usually be no charge to you) if permitted by parents and provided with proper safety seats of course. I am currently teaching my own child preschool prep so your child can surely join in the learning fun. I do have a dog that is great with children but can surely be crated through the entirety of the job upon request as my own child is going through a grabby phase which already causes my pup to be in puppy protection often. I am also married but my husband is unfortunately almost never home due to his intense work schedule. Please feel free to be open with any questions you may have! I have my availability set but please don't hesitate to inquire about possible flexibility in that or anything else including working outside of my home. Remember you miss 100% of the shots you don't take! I look forward to working with you :)

I love being a sitter because I genuinely enjoy spending time with kids and creating a fun, safe, and positive environment for them. It’s really rewarding to help families feel at ease knowing their children are cared for, and I like building connections with both kids and parents.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
