I very much enjoy working with kids, exploring new places (especially outdoors!), playing games, crafting, and finding creative ways to have fun with kids. Most of my professional and volunteer experience has been working with kids, and I desire to continue to work with children in therapeutic settings in the future. I have worked in preschool and nannying settings for the past year and half, and prior have worked with children therapeutically in an inpatient psychiatric setting, day and overnight camps, and babysitting, mostly with infants through 12 year olds. In previous nannying and babysitting, I help with laundry, housekeeping, and meal and snack prep, and am open to doing that alongside child care as well. Hello beautiful families! My name is Yousra and I’m currently a student at the University of Washington majoring in Geography Information Systems. While I am a full-time student, I love to spend the rest of my time caring for children of all ages! I have a wide variety of experiences starting from the age of 13. I started off watching my younger family members ages 1 - 10 and moving forward, I began caregiving for all ages of children in my neighborhood as well as nearby communities. I have worked in school districts for 10 years plus. Most of it was with special education, children. For the last five years, I’ve taken care of my very sick husband.. He goes to Dialysis three times a week of which I have already put into the hours I can work and he also has short-term memory loss. I have a great deal of patience and empathy for those that are younger and those that may have minor mental and emotional problems. I take very seriously what it is that I do. I do not consider these individuals as lesser people. I especially love children. I have 10 grandchildren, and I taught all of them how to swim. I was a major part in their lives and as a result of my support as has been told to me by my children, my grandchildren are stable and productive individuals in the society. But I mostly love and enjoy little one’s handicapped or not.
