Experience: I am the eldest of 5 children, the youngest 3 of them are 18, 16, 15 and it has been such a gift to be an active person in their lives. I have been caregiving and caretaking since I was 12 years old. It began when my dad would drop us off at his friend’s daycare center and I remember helping prepare food, assisting with art projects, changing of diapers and connecting with the little ones. I have previous work history with SitterTree based out of Georgia and I worked there before the COVID quarantine, it was truly such a special time. I felt a special connection to each family I worked for and we were all sad when we had to part ways. One of my favorite stories about my time with SitterTree was how a family nicknamed me “Poppy” because I would bring a suitcase of art supplies and toys to play with the kids and it reminded them of Marry Poppins.
