For many years, I’ve worked with children as an art teacher, creating inspiring and joyful spaces for them to explore their imagination. My background in art has taught me patience, empathy, and the importance of emotional connection in a child’s growth. Currently, I work as a newborn photographer at Evergreen and Overlake hospitals, where I capture the first precious moments of life with care and creativity. I was previously a pediatric nurse practitioner who, during the pandemic, decided it was time for a change. So in 2020, I returned to academia to become certified as a post partum doula, newborn care specialist and pediatric sleep specialist. I have also completed numerous exam-based courses in early childhood development.
