Hermela $21 per hour for 1 child

My career life for the past 6 years has been different avenues of childcare. The avenues I followed were, Daycare worker, before and after school care. Many different roads, but they all have a common interest CHILDREN. I wanted to nurture and teach young children. At the age of eighteen, I liked the idea of playing all day and getting paid for it. I have been working in early childhood education for the past five years, primarily with children aged 3 month to 7 years. During this time, I have gained valuable experience in creating engaging and educational activities for children. believe my patience, creativity, and strong understanding of child development make me a good nanny. I'm also adaptable and can effectively communicate with both children and parents.

Beverly $23 per hour for 1 child

I raised 5 of my own children, 4 boys and 1 daughter, from birth to adulthood. I also have 2 granddaughters 5 and 7 years old. I have lots of patience, tons of energy for many activities children love to do, and a lot of love and caring to give. Children are such a blessing and a great joy. I will always carry out your wishes for your family because you have sacrificed, and your role and wishes are very important. I do really love animals, and I have cared for two dogs, cats, rabbits, and birds, that were part of my family. If someone asked me what I would do, if their child did not do as they were asked while I was caring for them on a babysitting job, I would tell them… I would like to have had a conversation with the parents before they left their children in my care, as to how they wanted me to handle that situation. I would like to follow what the parents wishes are, because you cannot make a child do anything. although you can make the parents happy by following their wishes. I have had two previous jobs working with seniors in the past. The first one was mostly companionship, but I also cooked, took her to appointments and to run errands, we would also go walking for a little exercise, and to keep her agile and able to have balance and strength. She had great stories that I would listen to, and we would connect over them… she was a great lady. The second job was working with a gentleman who needed driving to appointments, grocery stores and to the gym. He had macular degeneration so he could see, but not enough to drive. I was very patient and understanding with him, as he did suffer from some age related dementia (he was in his early 90s). I would help him with household cleaning, chores and companionship, he liked to share his life over lunch that I would prepare for him. I also helped him with his finances and writing checks to pay his bills. He was very spunky and entertaining, and he liked to talk about his life when his wife was still alive.

$25 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 3 families in Kent, WA

Hi families! I’m Dakaysia (Kaysia), I have one child (7 years old) and I’ve spent many years babysitting and caring for kids of all ages including handling multiple children at once. I’m a calm, patient person who genuinely enjoys being around kids and creating a fun, safe space for them. I also have personal experience caring for my autistic nephew, which has helped me learn how to be extra understanding, flexible, and supportive with different needs and personalities. I’m really good at reading the room, keeping routines smooth, and making sure every child feels comfortable and included. With my background in serving and bartending, I’m great at multitasking, staying organized, and keeping things running even when it’s a little hectic. Whether we’re doing crafts, homework, playing games, or winding down for bedtime, I show up with a positive attitude and a lot of patience. I’m reliable, easy to talk to, and always try to make things easier for parents. Whether you need occasional help or more regular support, I’d love to connect with your family. Feel free to reach out with any questions, I’d love to meet you and your little ones! I have plenty of professional and personal references I can provide upon request.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
