I am Kate and I am 26 years old. I cared for ages Infant to Preschool ages-responsible for the safety, well-being, and educational development of children in care, assisted with basic needs like feeding and personal hygiene, playtime/interaction and maintain regular communication with parents in a daycare setting for 5 years. I am CPR and First Aid certified. Beforehand I babysat as well, and I was a caregiver for 3 years. I really enjoy interacting with children, playing with them, helping them learn and grow, as well as making them feel seen and heard and safe.

I have worked with kids for a while now, it comes easy to me. I did volunteer work on and off with kids for about two years then I have worked with kids this whole time this past year. The age range was wide but it helped me be able to learn new skills, because the most important things when caring for a kid is there safety and happiness. I also understand that a kid is stress full, so I’m so up for taking care of household chores as well! I like to say when I’m put into a situation my great at adapting.

I am from Venezuela, i've been in the US for about 9 years now. I have taken care of several kids throughout the years. Starting with my two siblings, then family friends twins, church friends kids. I love engaging with kids, distracting them, Im more of let's do some art and see what we can make or build. Love exploring. I bring over a decade of experience in healthcare and public safety—ranging from hospital settings to transit systems—where I’ve always prioritized community care. I’ve been a head coach for a women’s rugby team, a coach for Washington Special Olympics, and a certified personal trainer. I also hold an expired CNA license and continue to bring that same level of care to everything I do. When I’m not working I’m behind the camera as a freelance photographer. I am a 36 year old mother of 4 ages 7, 10, 18 and 19. In addition to parenting my own children, I have worked in social/human services my whole life. Starting out as a camp counselor in my teenage years leading years, then onto daycares, school assistants and peer counseling. Most recently i worked with children and families who suffer from mental illness and behavioral issues in and outside of the home-in the school and juvenile detention centers. I also have experience working with the elderly and disabled. And my beautiful ten year old has Asperger’s syndrome. I also make a great home assistant. My cooking is excellent and I keep a very clean and organized space at all times. I don’t mind running errands or transporting as needed. Pets are fine outside of my home.
