We recently relocated from Brooklyn, NY to Ballard and are looking for a babysitter for our son, Nolan (born March 2024), for a paid trial on Saturday 2/21 from 8:00–10:30PM while we take a visiting friend to dinner. Nolan will be asleep when we leave (7:45pm bedtime), so this evening will primarily involve monitoring the baby monitor and comforting him if he wakes. We also have a friendly 18lb cockapoo, Margo, so comfort with dogs is appreciated. Parking is easy on our street, and for later evenings we’re happy to cover an Uber/taxi home for sitters within a reasonable distance. Since we’re new to Seattle, our goal is to build a long-term relationship with a sitter (or small rotation of sitters) we can rely on. Longer term, we’re hoping for 2 date nights per month (Thurs/Fri/Sat) based on mutual availability. If all goes well on 2/21, we’d love to schedule repeat evenings. As you and Nolan get more comfortable, responsibilities may expand to include dinner, bedtime routine (bath, teeth, stories), and putting him down before we head out. There may also be occasional daytime hours when daycare is closed or additional weeknight opportunities. We’re looking for someone warm, dependable, and experienced with toddlers who enjoys building ongoing relationships with families.
