Part-Time Afternoon Toddler Caregiver Location: Campbell, CA Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 4:00–8:00 PM Hours: ~20 hours/week Pay: TBD, depending on experience Start: As soon as possible starting August 31, 2026 Position: Long-term part-time About Our Family We are a warm, busy family in Campbell looking for a reliable, kind, and energetic caregiver for our 2-year-old son, Kris. Kris attends daycare during the day, and we are looking for someone who can become a consistent part of his afternoon/evening routine. We are especially interested in someone who already has a daytime job, graduate program, teaching/healthcare role, or other regular daytime commitment and is looking for a stable afternoon/evening childcare position. We are hoping to find someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with toddlers and is interested in building a long-term relationship with our family. What You'll Do The typical afternoon will look something like: • Spend time with Kris after he comes home from daycare • Play with him, read books, do age-appropriate activities, and spend some time outdoors when appropriate • Prepare and serve a simple toddler dinner • Support a calm, positive mealtime routine • Help Kris gradually become more comfortable with different foods and textures • Clean up after Kris and his meals • Help with bath/bedtime preparation as needed • Keep Kris's play and eating areas reasonably tidy • Communicate with parents about how his afternoon and meals went Parents will handle daycare pickup, so a car and driving are not required for this position. Feeding Experience Is Especially Valuable Kris is currently a very selective eater and is sensitive to food textures. He has a relatively small list of foods he comfortably eats and tends to prefer foods such as rice, noodles, bread, and fruit. He currently refuses foods such as eggs, most meat, and vegetables even though he does not have known food allergies. We are looking for someone who is patient and knowledgeable about toddler picky eating and responsive feeding. We do not want someone who will pressure, force, bribe, or battle with him over food. Instead, we want to create a positive mealtime environment, continue exposing him to different foods and textures, and gradually expand the foods he is comfortable eating. Experience with toddlers who are picky eaters, texture-sensitive, or selective with food is a major plus.
