About this nanny job

Afternoon driving and childcare, Berkeley $25-40/hr We're looking for a competent, creative, child-loving person to help get our 5 and nearly 8 year old kids from school to home 2-4 afternoons/evenings a week. Ideal hours would be roughly 3:30-6:30pm but we'll build the days around your schedule. Would be happy for morning support and weekend sitting for date nights too. What we’re looking for: * pick up: swoop the kids up at school (Oakland) and bring them home (Berkeley). Happy to have you use our car, or yours. We don’t have our kids in a ton of activities, but you may have to take them to/from a soccer practice depending on the day. * at home: help them get settled into self-entertaining or play with them! Take them to the park, do some clay work, do chalk outlines of your bodies and draw what you feel inside them, scoot around the block; whatever suits the three of you. Kids are expected to practice their instruments for ~15 mins daily after school but outside of that and unpacking their backpacks they get to relax when they come home. * as time allows: clean lunchboxes, pack tomorrow's lunches, and put the house back together (dishes, a load of laundry, the backpack explosion by the door). * as interest allows: prep family dinner and eat with us if you want! College students very welcome; we're 6 minutes from the northside of campus. Responsible HS students also welcome! References and a background check required.
