We’re looking for a reliable, responsible person to help with school transportation for our 4-year-old daughter. She attends pre-K in Gahanna and gets out at 3:15 PM Tuesday–Thursday. The job would involve picking her up through the school’s car line and driving her directly to our home in Hilliard. My husband works from home, so once she arrives home, the job is finished. There would be no additional childcare responsibilities. This would be a consistent weekly schedule of Tuesday–Thursday pickups. We’re flexible on compensation based on experience and are thinking approximately $25–$35 per pickup. We want to make the arrangement worthwhile for the right person. Our daughter rides in a forward-facing car seat and can buckle herself in. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable driving young children, has a safe/reliable vehicle, and is dependable about arriving on time. For safety and consistency, we would expect the trip to be a direct school-to-home ride, with no personal errands, additional stops, or other passengers while she is in the vehicle. We would also expect the driver to have a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance. We’d like to meet in person before getting started and would plan to do a trial pickup together so everyone can become familiar with the school’s car-line process and the routine.
