Part-Time After-School Family Helper / Driver We are looking for a reliable, caring, and responsible part-time family helper to assist with our two school-age boys four afternoons/evenings per week. Schedule Tuesday: 4:15–8:00 pm Wednesday: 4:15–7:30 pm Thursday: 4:15–7:30 pm Friday: 5:30–7:00 pm Approximately 12 hours per week Responsibilities Pick up children from school/activities Drive one child to and from basketball practices in Glendale, Pasadena, and Little Tokyo Prepare simple dinners for the children Eat with/supervise the children during dinner Help keep the children's afternoon/evening routine running smoothly Light cleanup related to meals and the children Meal Preferences Our children especially enjoy Asian-style meals, so someone who is comfortable preparing simple Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or other Asian dishes would be a great fit. Meals do not need to be elaborate—simple home-cooked food is preferred. What We're Looking For Dependable and punctual Safe and confident driver Own reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance Comfortable driving around Alhambra, Glendale, Pasadena, and Little Tokyo Experience caring for school-age children preferred Comfortable preparing simple meals Responsible, patient, and able to work independently Good references Chinese- or Japanese-speaking is a plus, but not required This is a consistent, long-term position for someone who enjoys working with older children and is comfortable helping a busy family with school pickup, meals, and sports transportation.
