After-School Nanny / Family Assistant – Southeast DC | M–F, 3–6 PM | $25/hour We are looking for a reliable, warm and engaging after-school nanny/family assistant for our son, Dominic. This is a consistent Monday–Friday, 3:00–6:00 p.m. position, with the opportunity for additional hours for occasional date nights and weekends. Responsibilities include: * Picking Dominic up from school in Capitol Hill *15 guaranteed hours per week during regular school days and weeks. Planned school breaks/closures and holidays will follow an agreed-upon calendar provided in advance * Playground/outdoor time after school, weather permitting * Driving him home (approximately 10 minutes from school) * Preparing a simple afternoon snack * Engaging with and supervising him while he draws, plays or completes school activities * Helping him put away toys and school items * Light household reset/tidying during downtime or at the end of the day, such as loading/unloading the dishwasher, wiping down kitchen counters and tidying common areas We’re looking for someone who: * Has a reliable car, valid driver’s license and good driving record * Is comfortable driving in DC * Is dependable and able to commit to a consistent Monday–Friday schedule * Enjoys engaging with young children * Is comfortable helping keep the home organized as part of the afternoon routine Pay: $25/hour + mileage reimbursement for driving during childcare hours Start date: As early as August 27; must be available to start by August 31.
