About this nanny job

We're a warm, busy family based in Closter, NJ, looking for a reliable full-time nanny to help care for our two children and be part of our household. Our son is 19 months old - he started walking a few months ago and is now full of energy, loving to explore every corner of the house and yard. He needs close, attentive supervision as he gets into everything and is constantly discovering something new. He's home full-time, so his nanny will be his primary daytime companion and caregiver. Our daughter is 3 years old and full of energy herself-outgoing, curious, and always on the go. She attends pre-K on weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, so part of the role includes drop-off and/or pick-up, along with keeping her little brother engaged and cared for while she's at school, then managing both kids together once she's home. We also have two dogs, so comfort around friendly household pets is a must. Both parents work full-time, so we need someone dependable who can manage a full day of childcare solo, handling two kids at very different stages -a mobile, exploring toddler and an active preschooler -with patience and energy. Daily Responsibilities Full-day care and supervision of our 19-month-old son, including meals, naps, and active playtime School drop-off and/or pick-up for our 3-year-old daughter Engaging both children in age-appropriate activities, indoors and outdoors Meal and snack prep for the kids Managing toddler-proofing vigilance -our son is a curious explorer Light tidying of play areas and kids' messes Basic comfort with two family dogs in the home Clear daily communication with us about naps, meals, moods, and milestones What We're Looking For Experience caring for toddlers and preschool-aged children, ideally at the same time High energy and patience - both kids keep a nanny on their toes Comfortable driving or walking for school pickup/drop-off, if needed Reliable and consistent -our schedules don't allow for last-minute gaps Comfortable around dogs References and background check required What We Offer Competitive full-time pay based on experience A respectful, communicative working relationship Live-in or live-out Potential for a long-term, stable position with a family that values reliability and trust We're looking for someone who can bring warmth, structure, and energy to our household and become a steady, trusted presence in our kids' daily lives.
