Part-Time Family Assistant / Driver — Westside LA Location: Venice / Mar Vista / Brentwood Schedule: After school, approximately 10 hours/week minimum guaranteed Pay: $30/hour Start: Fall 2026 We are looking for a warm, reliable, highly communicative Part-Time Family Assistant / Driver to help with our 8-year-old daughter, Sarah, after school. This is primarily a school/activity transportation role, but we are looking for someone who can become a trusted and consistent part of our family’s support system. Sarah has a busy after-school schedule, and we need someone who is organized, proactive, flexible, and excellent at communication. Our family has two homes in Venice and Mar Vista, and Sarah attends school in Brentwood. Transportation will primarily be between Brentwood, Venice, Santa Monica and Mar Vista. On a typical afternoon, you may: * Pick Sarah up from school or her school bus stop * Drive her safely to an after-school activity * Pick her up from the activity and bring her home * Coordinate drop-offs and pickups between our Venice and Mar Vista homes * Occasionally help Sarah with homework or schoolwork * Help her transition smoothly between school, activities, and home * Communicate clearly with us about schedules, timing, changes, and anything that comes up during the afternoon * Coordinate as needed with our main nanny, who works with our younger child * Keep track of activity bags, school items, water bottles, etc. so afternoons run smoothly he person we're looking for The most important qualities are reliability, communication, judgment, and warmth. We are looking for someone who: * Is exceptionally dependable and punctual * Is a confident and safe driver * Has a clean driving record * Has meaningful experience caring for school-aged children * Is comfortable driving children around Los Angeles * Is highly communicative and responsive by text * Is organized and good at managing changing schedules * Is proactive rather than waiting to be told every detail * Has a calm, positive demeanor with children * Is comfortable helping with homework when needed * Understands that consistency and trust are essential * Never texts and drives
