About this nanny job

We are looking for a warm, highly reliable, engaged nanny for our nearly 1-year-old daughter. We hope to find someone who will genuinely invest in her and stay with our family for several years. Our ideal nanny is affectionate, playful, responsible, communicative, and comfortable taking initiative. We value lots of active engagement through free play, books, music, creative activities, outdoor time, and age-appropriate developmental play. As our daughter gets older, we would like her to have approximately 1–2 outings per week to parks, libraries, classes, or other approved activities. Reliability and schedule flexibility are especially important to us. We guarantee 40 hours per week, but daily hours vary based on our work schedules. Most weeks are approximately 40–45 hours, although some are busier. We generally provide exact daily hours about 2 weeks ahead and know our busier work weeks months in advance, so true last-minute changes are uncommon. Occasional early starts and longer days occur. Responsibilities include full care of our daughter, preparing her meals, child laundry and bedding, cleaning and organizing her spaces, monitoring supplies, and cleaning up after meals and play. We also expect unloading the dishwasher, wiping kitchen counters, and straightening shared spaces used during the day. A reliable personal vehicle and comfort driving our daughter are required. We provide the car seat and reimburse work mileage. Spanish-speaking is preferred but not required. Occasional scheduled evening availability is strongly preferred. We are open to either a live-out nanny or, if desired, an optional live-in arrangement in a separate private ADU on our property.
