**Schedule:** 25–30 guaranteed hours/week We are a family in Chatsworth seeking an experienced, dependable Nanny / Family Assistant for our two boys in 1st and 5th grade. Our current nanny has been with us for five years and is relocating out of state, so finding the right long-term fit is important to us. Our boys thrive with structure, consistency and clear expectations. We are looking for someone loving and nurturing, but also confident, firm and comfortable setting boundaries. The ideal person can have fun with the boys while still being the adult in charge, reinforcing household rules, redirecting behavior and following through consistently. This is more than a childcare-only role. We need someone proactive, organized and able to take initiative without constant direction. **Responsibilities include:** * School pickup and transportation to tutoring, sports, activities and appointments * Preparing after-school snacks * Homework help, reading support and assistance with school projects * Helping the boys stay organized with backpacks, schoolwork and belongings * Managing afternoon/evening routines * Planning age-appropriate activities and outings * Reinforcing family rules, manners, responsibilities and age-appropriate discipline * Encouraging independence while ensuring expectations are followed * Boys’ laundry, including washing, folding and putting away * Keeping bedrooms and common areas tidy * Organizing school supplies, sports equipment and belongings * Light tidying and cleanup after meals, snacks and activities * Helping with everyday tasks that keep the household running smoothly We have a weekly housekeeper for deep cleaning, so this is not a housekeeping position. The right fit is warm, kind, firm, dependable, punctual and a strong communicator. You should have experience with elementary and/or middle-school-aged children, be comfortable helping with 1st- and 5th-grade homework, safely driving children, managing two different ages and needs, and taking ownership of the afternoon routine. Occasional domestic and international travel is preferred and would be planned in advance. Most importantly, we want someone who can build a loving relationship with our boys while being a strong, trusted adult presence. We hope to find someone who enjoys being part of a family, takes pride in helping a household run well and wants to grow with us for years to come.
