About this nanny job

Morning care for our baby — Santa Clara, M/W/F 8–12, September to mid-November Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM - about ten weeks, and a couple more is possible if it’s working for both of us. Twelve guaranteed hours a week. This may grow to five mornings (20 hrs/week) in the fall; we can’t promise it, but we would like you to be able to take it. Pay: $30–35/hour depending on experience. Easy parking - residential area. The mornings: you take the baby at 8:00 so Dad can get our toddler out the door, and baby is yours until 12:00 - wake windows, bottles, naps. Mom is home but catching up on sleep after the night, and Dad works from home some days, so there’s someone in the house if you need them - but you’ll be the one looking after him. While he naps, a little tidying tied to the kids (laundry, bottles, organizing) What we ask: two references we can call - ideally families where you looked after a baby under one on your own. We would like infant CPR and First Aid in place before your first morning; tell us if you already have it. If that suits you, send a quick note about your experience with young infants, and whether five mornings could work in case we expand. And if a full-time role starting December/January interests you, too, please let us know - we are hiring for that too.
