Hi there! Our family is looking for a reliable, vetted on-call backup nanny to assist with our 5-year-old son on an as-needed basis.Our primary childcare is fully covered by family, but we need a trusted backup driver and caregiver who can step in with a one-week advance notice when our regular family coverage goes out of town or has scheduling conflicts.The Gaps Needed (Only when regular coverage is out):Wednesdays, Thursdays, & Fridays: From school pickup until 6:00 PM.(Pickup is at 3:00 PM on Wed/Thu, and at 2:00 PM on Fridays at Leeward CC).Please Note: We are setting the end time to 6:00 PM to give an expected buffer for traffic and shift wrap-ups, though there is a high possibility a parent will arrive home sooner! You will be paid for the full blocked window.Activity & Care Parameters (What to do afternoon):We want our son to stay active and have fun! You are completely welcome to take him to play at a local neighborhood park, hang out and play games inside our comfortable home, or take him swimming inside our residential complex pool to cool off after school.Core Responsibilities:Receive our backup alert at least one week in advance.Pick up our oldest son promptly at dismissal time from his preschool program at Leeward Community College.Backup Safety Buffer: St. Timothy's preschool closes right at 5:30 PM. If we encounter a severe traffic delay or a shift runs late, we may occasionally need you to walk right next door to scoop up our youngest child by 5:30 PM so both boys are safe with you at our place until 6:00 PM.Provide a light afternoon snack and keep them engaged with play until a parent arrives.Our Requirements:Must have an active UrbanSitter background check profile, a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and a safe, reliable vehicle.Must be highly responsive and reliable once an on-call week is officially accepted.Previous experience with preschoolers and multiple children is a plus!Compensation: $22.00 – $26.00 / hour (Premium rate offered due to the on-call, flexible nature of the position).
