**Seeking 1–2 Part-Time Sitters for Autistic Twins in Harlem 👯‍♂️** We're a busy family in Harlem looking for 1–2 warm, experienced DSPs (Direct Support Professionals) to join our care team on a part-time, recurring basis through **Hamaspik of Kings County**. **About the kids:** Marshall and Maya are autistic twins turning 7 this December with big personalities. Marshall is calm and focused with deep passions — subways, Legos, space, and geography. He loves a conversation partner who can geek out with him on his interests. Maya is passionate, creative, and thoughtful — a natural performer, an avid reader, a Barbie enthusiast, and genuinely the best TV-watching companion around. Together they are a lively, loving duo who thrive with consistent, patient, engaged care. **The schedule:** - **Monday & Friday mornings:** Wake the kids, support their morning routine, and get them to school via public transit - **Wednesday afternoons/evenings:** Pick up from school or aftercare, take the twins to speech therapy on the Upper East Side, then support the rest of the afternoon/evening (playground or library, dinner, bedtime) - **Sundays:** Variable — sometimes taking them out to give parents time at home, sometimes an extra set of hands for family activities, sometimes splitting up so each twin gets one-on-one time - **Occasional date nights:** Flexible evening coverage as needed *We're not looking for one person to cover all of these slots — we're building a small team of 1–2 people who together can cover some mix of these times. Flexibility and reliability matter more than availability for every shift.* **Compensation:** - $17/hr per child — up to **$34/hr when supporting both kids at once** - Paid through Hamaspik of Kings County (you're their employee, not ours) - Fingerprinting covered by Hamaspik **What we're looking for:** - Experience with autistic or neurodiverse children (required) - Comfort with twins or multiple kids at once - Confident navigating NYC public transit with kids (Harlem ↔ Upper East Side) - High energy, patient, and genuinely playful - Comfortable making simple dinners - Reliable and communicative with parents - Able to complete Hamaspik's HR onboarding process **Nice to have:** CPR/first aid certification If this sounds like a great fit, we'd love to hear from you!
